The Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) joins as an ISEAL Community Member
We are pleased to announce that the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) has been approved as an ISEAL Community Member. CSC's experience in advancing sustainability assurance and certification across the concrete value chain and its commitment to continuous improvement, will bring valuable perspectives to our growing membership community. We look forward to working with CSC to strengthen sustainability systems and sustainability performance across the construction sector.
CSC is an independent, multi-stakeholder organisation that advances responsible sourcing and production across the concrete value chain. Through its globally recognised certification system, CSC provides an independently verified framework for assessing and recognising sustainability performance, from cement producers and aggregate suppliers to ready mixed and precast concrete manufacturers. By fostering continuous improvement and sustainability assurance, CSC supports businesses, procurers, investors, project developers, and governments in driving more responsible construction practices.
Following approval by the ISEAL Board on 20 May 2026, ISEAL’s Executive Director, Karin Kreider said: “I am delighted to welcome CSC as an ISEAL Community Member. CSC brings valuable experience in advancing sustainability assurance across the construction sector and a clear commitment to continuous improvement. We welcome the opportunity to support CSC on the next stage of its improvement journey as an ISEAL Community Member.”
Tobias Laurens, Managing Director, CSC said: “Becoming an ISEAL Community Member highlights CSC’s commitment to strengthening trust in certification through transparency and accountability. We believe true credibility must be earned by aspiring to the highest international standards and welcoming independent verification. While this achievement represents an important milestone, its greatest significance lies in what comes next: a continued commitment to raising the bar for integrity, impact, and stakeholder confidence.”
Our membership
ISEAL Community Members are sustainability systems and accreditation bodies dedicated to delivering benefits for people and planet. They are committed to continually improving their systems and impacts through learning and innovation; collaborating with stakeholders and peers; and are transparent and truthful about how their systems work and how they measure their impacts.
In becoming an ISEAL Community Member, The Concrete Sustainability Council joins a growing number of well-respected sustainability systems that are driving positive social and environmental change across multiple sectors. The Concrete Sustainability Council will be working alongside these mission-driven sustainability organisations to continuously improve the effectiveness of their systems and demonstrate impact.
We encourage any organisation developing or operating a sustainability system with a multi-stakeholder approach and a commitment to credible practices to consider joining ISEAL.
