Karin Kreider
I’ve been Executive Director since 2012, working on external and member engagement, partnerships, governance, strategy, and all things good institutional management. Previously I was involved in the start-up of Rainforest Alliance and worked on organisational development and the launch of their forestry, agriculture and tourism programmes.

I’ve been with ISEAL since 2010, working on ISEAL’s programme strategy and as a technical expert on data, performance monitoring, research, and on topics such as living wage and living income. Before joining, I was a university lecturer, researcher and consultant in social development, environmental economics, and infrastructure policy.

Patrick Mallet
I’ve been with ISEAL since the beginning, and served as our first Executive Director until 2005. Today I lead our efforts to understand how sustainability standards need to evolve to meet changing stakeholder expectations about how best to achieve sustainability.

Tom Espley
I joined ISEAL in 2023, after several decades working with NGOs, charities and think tanks in Asia, Europe and the UK.

As an Accountant by training, I’m responsible for ISEAL’s money and oversee the support functions. So, don't hesitate to get in touch with me about this or anything: if it’s not me who deals with it, I’ll find the person who does.

I work alongside the development, finance and project teams to ensure our larger grants are progressing as they should and meeting donor obligations, while looking at ways to adapt and expand ISEAL's grant management processes as it takes on more funding. Previously, I held similar roles in the humanitarian aid sector.

I oversee ISEAL’s work on human rights and decent work, and manage projects advancing equity and producer empowerment in global supply chains. Before ISEAL, I worked across the advocacy, humanitarian, and ESG sectors, focusing on issues of forced labour, human trafficking, and working conditions.
