GIZ and ISEAL have been working in collaboration since 2018 as two of the three founding partners of the Living Income Community of Practice (LICoP), with a focus on progressing measurement and action on living income across a range of sectors and stakeholders. Alongside our work on LICoP, ISEAL has also worked with GIZ on a variety of projects on living wage, transforming agricultural value chains, and supporting smallholders.
Current Programme: Strengthening and Positioning LICoP as a Leading Authority on Living Income
Programme information
Programme Duration: 2025 - 2027
Programme Amount: €177,512 (Euro)
Programme summary
Through ongoing funding to support the Living Income Community of Practice (LICoP), we will continue to grow LICoP and bring greater resources and awareness of living income to a broad group of stakeholders (including companies, INGOs, NGOs, civil society, etc). This current phase will reinforce LICoP's critical role as an enabler of national, industry, and sector-wide collaboration, with a focus on sectors where LICoP partners already have significant influence (cocoa, coffee, cotton, palm, fisheries, banana).
This programme will seek to:
- Increase annual subscription of LICoP by 20%, whilst ensuring progressive and even growth in the top five most engaged sectors and key geographic regions (Latin America, Africa, Asia).
- Develop a well-structured and regularly updated knowledge hub, serving as the go-to resource for stakeholders working to close living income gaps.
- Increase sharing of best practices and lessons learned, contributing to a more informed and collaborative community.
- Position LICoP as a leading authority on living income by providing clear guidance, harmonising methodologies, and supporting policymakers and organisations in integrating living income into due diligence processes.
- Provide clarity of the use of the Living Income concept to support embedding of the concept with key institutions and partners.
