Project information

Project Amount: $556,305 (USD)
Project summary
This aim of this project is to support sustainability systems and their private and public partners in multiple sectors to advance on equality and equitable opportunity to benefit, and improved food and livelihoods security.
With a focus on producer empowerment as a lever of change for advancing towards equity and livelihood outcomes, we are drawing on cross-sector learning and experience to build momentum and create solid foundations for further work on equity and livelihoods within the seafood sector.
Our ultimate goal is to disseminate learnings from cross-sectoral approaches about key equity concepts and strategies to empower producers through:
- Strengthening the voice and engagement of small and marginalised producers.
- Improving access to markets’ performance improvements and livelihood opportunities.
This project works in complement with several of our other grants, including our work in the Living Income Community of Practice.
