ISEAL input into the public consultation on the development of guidelines for EU CSDDD

ISEAL has contributed to the European Commission’s public consultation on the development of guidelines for the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD)

We responded to sections on living income and living wage, remediation, third-party verification, meaningful stakeholder engagement, and fitness criteria for industry and multistakeholder initiatives, among others.

Our submission highlights how credible sustainability systems, industry schemes and multistakeholder initiatives can support companies to implement effective due diligence – complementing, not replacing, companies’ own due diligence responsibilities.
