This report outlines an approach for producing land-cover maps at different cartographic scales, aiming to facilitate analysis, and ultimately evaluate which scale and method combinations offer the best balance between precision of data generated and resources invested.

In an Innovations Fund-supported project from May 2019 to June 2022, 'Designing a blueprint for sustainable landscapes', Sustainable Agriculture Network and Fundación Natura developed a participatory, measuring system for the Zona Bananera in Colombia, with the aim of providing a blueprint for local communities wishing to drive sustainability in their landscapes that could be replicated and scaled across other agricultural-dominant tropical regions.
