Risk-based approaches to certification rely on credible risk assessments and benchmarking of schemes to be most effective. However, risk and compliance data can be fragmented across multiple formats and systems, limiting its useability, scalability and potential for analysis.
Building on extensive experience in implementing a risk-based approach to sustainable sourcing, Preferred by Nature’s project sought to organise, standardise and digitise relevant information, such as risk assessments and sustainability benchmarks.
By streamlining this data, PbN looked to improve the impact of its certification, inform decision-making of its clients, and foster effective data-sharing practices across sustainability networks.
