Overview: Due diligence (July 2023) | CLOSED
The ISEAL Innovations Fund launched a call in July 2023 for Community Members to submit expressions of interest for project ideas responding to the theme: Sustainability systems as tools to support implementation of effective, fair, and impactful due diligence processes.
Please note that the application window is now closed.
This public overview explains the type of grants that were available, and the selection process.
We are delighted to invite ISEAL Community Members and their partners to submit expressions of interest (EOIs) for projects to respond to the theme: Sustainability systems as tools to support implementation of effective, fair, and impactful due diligence processes.
This is an opportunity to build on learning to date and pilot innovations and improvements that will help sustainability systems meet the rapidly growing demand for more engagement, tools, and action to support and respond to corporate due diligence legislation in various jurisdictions. Read on for more details on the types of grants we have available, and the selection process.

EOIs should be completed in a specific EOI template designed for this round (available on the closed online platform for the ISEAL community) and submitted by the ISEAL Community Member leading the proposed grant by 25 August 2023.
The brief EOI template includes questions on:
- The motivation for your project, what you are hoping to achieve, and how.
- The learning value for your organisation, project partners, the ISEAL community, and beyond.
- How it will contribute to the objectives for projects responding to the theme of this round.
Submitted EOIs are presented to a grant decision-making committee comprising wider ISEAL team members, SECO, and external experts.
The committee selects a sub-set of EOIs it recommends for full proposal development, and ISEAL will work with successful applicants to develop detailed proposals.
We aim for projects to start in December 2023.
