Beyond certified supply chains: ISEAL Innovations Fund call for EOIs

In November 2025, the ISEAL Innovations Fund invited Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for projects responding to the theme:

Reaching and supporting small-scale producers beyond certified supply chains

Read the overview

Applications closed on 19 January 2026.

Background

Global market systems depend largely on small-scale producers, who face mounting climate and environmental pressures. Around 80% of small-scale producers operate outside certified markets, selling into local, regional or global markets. As new regulations demand greater supply chain accountability, businesses must strengthen their social and environmental performance while addressing the deep inequities these producers face.

We believe that sustainability systems, including ISEAL Community Members, are well positioned to leverage existing and build new partnerships – with producer and community organisations, NGOs, businesses and service providers, local government, and others – to reach small-scale producers outside certified supply chains and respond to their priorities, needs and constraints.

Eligibility

Projects may be led by any organisation, including non-ISEAL Community Members. However, EOIs must be submitted by an ISEAL Community Member. The submitting Member may nominate another organisation as the Project Lead, but they must actively partner in the project if it is funded and act as the link between the project and the ISEAL community.
