ISEAL publishes 2024 Annual Review
With the release of ISEAL's Annual Review 2024, we reflect on a year of innovation and progress in advancing credible sustainability practices.
In 2024, ISEAL deepened member collaborations through the Innovations Fund, supporting 13 projects across themes such as traceability, geospatial data, climate, and due diligence. And through initiatives like the Living Income Community of Practice, the Gender Toolkit, and the new Climate Cohort, we helped members tackle critical challenges – from equity and livelihoods to climate action.
Through the ISEAL Code of Good Practice and related credibility guidance, we continued to help members and partners put credible approaches into practice, strengthening their response to emerging policy and market expectations.
Highlights from 2024 include:
- Hosting ISEAL's first Global Sustainability Symposium in five years, bringing together policymakers, businesses and experts to explore effective due diligence and reporting partnerships.
- Leading a consultation to update our Chain of Custody Guidance and Benchmarking Good Practice Guide to strengthen alignment across sustainability systems.
- Publishing a whitepaper on livelihoods and equity in the seafood sector to drive fair and sustainable transformation.
- Launching the ISEAL Climate Cohort, a group of members driving innovation in greenhouse gas (GHG) measurement and reporting.
- Developing living income indicators and metrics and expanding the Living Income Community of Practice to over 3,000 subscribers.
By the end of 2024, ISEAL's membership had grown to 49 Community Members and 19 Code Compliant Members, reflecting a vibrant and engaged learning community committed to credible sustainability practices.
We remain focused on fostering innovation, transparency, and collaboration – because only by working together can we make sustainable supply chains the norm.
