Market mechanisms: Call for Innovations Fund EOIs

The ISEAL Innovations Fund invites Expressions of Interest for projects that respond to the theme: Market mechanisms for transferring value to small-scale producers and SMEs.

Background

Sustainability systems are evolving to offer a suite of financial incentives and other mechanisms that directly support small-scale producers on improvement journeys towards greater resilience and more sustainable production. Yet, small producers and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) continue to face structural inequalities including inequitable distribution of value along supply chains.

We believe that ISEAL community members and their partners are uniquely placed to address the challenge of inequitable distribution of value and to innovate around value transfer mechanisms, ensuring that small-scale actors benefit meaningfully from market mechanisms.

Call for Expressions of Interest

Thanks to funding from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and UK International Development from the UK government, the ISEAL Innovations Fund are pleased to invite ISEAL Community Members to submit expressions of interest for projects that respond to the theme: Market mechanisms for transferring value to small-scale producers and SMEs.

Projects can be led by nominated non-member organisations, and the Innovations Fund encourages collaborations between ISEAL Community Members and other sustainability systems or organisations. EOIs must be submitted by an ISEAL Community Member, though non-member organisations can be named as project lead.

Please submit an EOI by Monday 29 September 2025 if you have an idea for a project which could benefit from grant funding. Projects can last for up to 2 years and apply for a grant of up to GBP 150,000.
