ISEAL is excited to announce that Preferred by Nature has been approved as an ISEAL Community Member. We are excited to be able to bring their knowledge of sustainable land management to the ISEAL community and to learn more about their experiences.

Preferred by Nature is an international non-profit organisation working to support sustainable land management and drive sustainable procurement through market transformation. At the core of the programme is the Sustainability Framework – an outcome focused and risk-based standard which can be used across different crops and commodities and serves as a compass guiding forestry, agriculture and supply chain actors towards sustainable practices.

Further to approval from the ISEAL Board on 8 May 2024, ISEAL’s Executive Director, Karin Kreider, commented: “I have watched Preferred by Nature grow and develop and witnessed their dedication over the years. I value Preferred by Nature’s engagement with ISEAL and wish them a warm welcome as an ISEAL Community Member. I look forward to working with them in the future.”

Our membership

ISEAL Community Members are sustainability systems and accreditation bodies dedicated to delivering benefits for people and planet. They are committed to continually improving their systems and impacts through learning and innovation; collaborating with stakeholders and peers; and are transparent and truthful about how their systems work and how they measure their impacts.

In becoming an ISEAL Community Member, Preferred by Nature joins a growing number of well-respected sustainability systems that are driving positive social and environmental change across multiple sectors. Preferred by Nature will be working alongside these mission-driven sustainability organisations to continuously improve the effectiveness of their systems and demonstrate impact.

We encourage any organisation developing or operating a sustainability system with a multi-stakeholder approach and a commitment to credible practices to consider becoming an ISEAL Community Member.
