This document reports on the pilot phase of the Landscape Assessment Framework in the context of the Sustainable Cocoa Landscapes project in

Rainforest Alliance (RA), in collaboration with Quizrr, developed and piloted a set of digital training modules for workers and farm management on RA-certified tea estates in India and coffee farms in Mexico. The digital training focused on grievance mechanisms and salient human and labor rights risks, with particular attention to gender-based risks and barriers to access to grievance mechanisms in agricultural settings.

The ISEAL-funded research project Integrating new data to improve risk assessments and detection of forced labour in agricultural supply chains (2017 – 18) is an attempt to build the evidence base around monitoring and remediating forced labour in agricultural supply chains.

Moving towards an outcome-based standard creates the opportunity for LEAF to communicate more closely on the impacts of implementing the LEAF Marque Standard, measuring outcomes directly rather than proxying them with practices.
