In 2019, ISEAL carried out a review of the Credibility Principles to determine if the Credibility Principles require revision. This document outlines the findings from the review, which determined that there is a need to revise the Credibility Principles.

ISEAL has responded to the European Commission’s public consultation on the EU Nature Credits Roadmap.ISEAL welcomes the EU’s efforts to halt and reverse biodiversity loss by mobilising private finance toward measurable and transparent outcomes. We encourage the recognition of ISEAL’s Credibility tools as a foundation for the nature credits roadmap. 

As part of the ATLA project, Better Cotton Pakistan has explored way to work with the Punjab Provincial Government, Civil Society as well as with private sector to embed the BCSS Model into national cotton production practice. The Jurisdictional Approach is one of the key strategy framework for such kind of collaborative arrangements by adopting the standards in national policy context.

Remediation is a fundamental principle of international human rights. In 2022 and 2023, ISEAL ran a dialogue series with ISEAL members, supported by the UN OHCHR Accountability and Remedy Project, to build awareness on key remediation concepts and activities, take stock of existing efforts on remediation, identify cross-cutting challenges, and inspire further action on remediation.

This procedure outlines the process for submitting an application for ISEAL Community Member status. It details how the application and will be evaluated and the subsequent steps required to make a final decision on the outcome of the application.

In an Innovations Fund supported project from September 2023 to February 2024, Marin Trust carried out a comprehensive impact evaluation to assess whether their activities lead to improved or protected environmental parameters. It focused on the synergies, challenges and factors driving improvement between MarinTrust-certified and MarinTrust Improver Programme factories.
